The Empathy Programme
The Empathy Programme is an award-winning film programme that develops the skill of empathy in students aged 5 - 18. It’s a whole school approach enabling students to explore the narratives of five people and their diverse experiences which is vital in an increasingly complex world. The programme brings real world issues and themes into the classroom through age-differentiated, scaffolded resources and beautifully made cinematic films. Best of all, everything is made by our team of qualified teachers so you can save time and have maximum impact with our skills framework that is backed by research with Cambridge University and brought to you by Empathy Studios.

More about Empathy Week:
Designed by qualified teachers and expert storytellers, Empathy Week is flexible and does not require a shift in your timetable. Ideal for pastoral time and assemblies, it also links to the UK curriculum in PSHE, RSHE and embedding SMSC in your school.
So far we have engaged over 175,000 students across 40+ countries, and 2024 is set to be our biggest Empathy Week yet!
This year our theme is ‘Home’. Through in-person events, powerful film-based assemblies, and incredible on-demand speakers, we will share stories from people from many different backgrounds and perspectives, and explore social issues such as the refugee crisis, homelessness, wellbeing, positive relationships, and war.
